  A WORD FROM THE PRINCIPAL

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Greenfield Park Primary International School.  We are always excited to welcome new students to our population at the beginning of each school year.

The Greenfield Park Primary International School is in constant evolution. Supporting the educational project, our school success plan is adjusted on a yearly basis in order to meet the requirements of the  Ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport  as well as those of the International Baccalaureat Organization's Primary Years Program.

Thanks to the Learner’s Profile of the IBO, students find themselves immersed right from grade one, in the midst of their learning environment.  The units of inquiries encourage students to increase their knowledge and to develop an inquiring nature and foster qualities such as cooperation and autonomy.  Students continuously work on developing the learner profile’s qualities, which will provide them with skills that will serve them well throughout their lives.

Our school has a welcoming environment which promotes mutual respect between our students and our staff.  In a peaceful, yet playful atmosphere, it is not suprising to turn the corner and see students practicing theatrical roles in the corridors, or to find them working on laptops.  Our students are actively involved in sporting competitions organized by both school boards.

We are especially proud of the quality of our students oral and written work.  We offer a large variety of after-school activities that are actively encouraged.  Our students learning accomplishments are celebrated, offering them a chance to have their talent shine both academically and artistically.

Together under one roof, we form a multicultural community.  With the help of the immersion program offered by Riverside School Board, and the bain linguistique  in English offered by the commission scolaire Marie-Victorin, not to mention the introduction of Spanish in cycle three, our students are given daily opportunities to utilize both of our country’s official languages and to step through doorways into other cultures.

We are proud of our certification allowing us to offer the International Bacclaureat Program to our students, and our motto reflects our philosophy of education.
